Protest in Focus: A Visual Archive of Resistance and Resilience

Protests shape movements. US: A Collection of Our Stories, Thoughts, and Dreams is a time capsule—an unfiltered look at America in the wake of George Floyd’s murder. Self-published during Black History Month in 2024, this collection captures protest photos from four cities and the raw energy of a nation demanding change.

Years later, the echoes of these moments still linger. The world they reflected hasn’t changed as much as it should have—but the urgency remains. As a storyteller, journalist, high school teacher, and a Black man who has called America home for nearly a decade, these moments mattered then, and they matter now.
